My name is Ben Rashid. I am from Lodi, Wisconsin and I graduated from Lodi High School in 2019. I am a 5th year senior here and the University of Dubuque. I am currently on the Football team while majoring in exercise science with a minor in business. During last year’s football season, I suffered a dislocated elbow which forced my season to be cut short. During this time, I just wanted to be left alone and was in the darkest place mentally I have ever been but during this time all the great friends, coaches, and athletic trainers helped bring my mind off all the pain and sadness I was going through. I leaned on everyone around me to help and each person helped me in more ways than I could’ve ever asked for. Each person at UD helped me to get back healthy and back to the things I love doing. As I look back The University of Dubuque has been the best place, I could’ve spent these past 4 years. All the lifelong friends and memories I have made at UD will stay will me for the rest of my life.
