My name is Grady Thompson, and I am from Princeton, Illinois. I am a freshman at UD majoring in Business Administration and play on the UD Men’s basketball team. My future career dream is to open my own business in the health and fitness field.
In the short time I have been attending UD, I have felt welcomed and have noticed the importance of success both in and out of the classroom. The UD faculty and student body are there to push students to be better every day, which is an outlook that I strive for in myself. Living by that standard is stressful, constantly trying to be the best. The pressure is always there, whether it be academically or on the basketball court, but taking care of myself physically and mentally must be goal #1.
Playing basketball has always been my safe place. The court is where I can escape the stresses that life throws at me. The one thing I can always count on is my basketball bouncing right back to me. Life is much like basketball. You might lose some air sometimes but fill yourself up with some new air and just keep bouncing.
