My name is Johnathan Blake. I am twenty-one years old and a senior Business Management major at the University of Dubuque, and I also am on the baseball team. I graduated from Dubuque Senior in 2020 and then attended Clarke University from 2020-2023 where I received multiple athletic awards. These include being named an All-American in 2023 as well as first team all-conference. I have been welcomed into the University of Dubuque family for my final year of college.
I have played sports for as long as I can remember, which included football, basketball and my clear favorite baseball. I can say with 100 percent certainty that baseball has made my life overall much better. Ever since I was little baseball has been my biggest mental supporter. I have always felt that no matter how bad life is going that I always had the sport I loved to fall back on. Baseball has allowed me to get a great education at both universities. Baseball has opened me to many things I would never have gotten without it. For example, without baseball I would not have met many different people from all over the world and cultures. The University of Dubuque has a great active community, coaches, and staff that are here to help the entire time.
