Hello, my name is Sam Kilburg, I play basketball at UD, and I am a Senior double majoring in finance and economics. I am from Eldridge, IA and graduated from North Scott High School.
Prioritizing my physical health at UD has been life changing. Improving my physical health year after year has helped me become more comfortable in my skin. This added comfortability has given me confidence to branch out and network with others on campus and around Dubuque. Networking has helped me secure an internship and unlock potential job opportunities after I graduate.
Basketball and athletics have significantly improved my emotional and brain health. Being able to trust the coaches and staff has allowed me to build a strong support system. This support system has improved my well-being both on and off the court. Allowing me to be the best version of myself. As a result, my emotional and brain health have thrived throughout my time at UD.
