I’m from St. Louis, Missouri where I attended St. Mary’s Southside Catholic High School and participated in Soccer, Lacrosse, Football, and Basketball. I also participated in Lindbergh High School’s lacrosse program. I am currently a junior at the University of Dubuque where I study politics. I’m a member of the University of Dubuque lacrosse team, where I play attack and represent the team as a captain. My focus on athletics and physical activity has helped me mature and navigate life tremendously. Before my senior year of high school, I struggled with my physical health, and this was also a major burden on my emotional health as well. I have put more focus and a higher value on my physical health ever since and it helped me in school and my relationships.

Playing lacrosse and working out has always been a safe place for my emotional health because I feel as if I’m right where I should be. I don’t have to worry about belonging, because playing lacrosse whether it’s with my teammates or going and practicing alone I feel at home. This year I have taken on the role of a captain of the lacrosse team, and this has also helped me to grow. I had to learn how to lead, and this includes many different skills from communication, controlling my emotions, and putting the team’s desires above my own. Being part of the team is important because my teammates and I are brought together by a common goal and pursuit of happiness. This stretches off the field, and I spend my time with them living, eating, studying, practicing faith, and just enjoying each other’s presence. Some of my athletic accomplishments include 2023 University of Dubuque Co-Offensive Player of the Year, 2023 Midwest Lacrosse Conference 1st Team All-Conference, I’m currently the Single Season and All Time Assist leader at the University of Dubuque.
