My name is Carter Ruegsegger, and I am from Blanchardville, Wisconsin. I am a graduate student on the men’s golf team at the University of Dubuque. I have played various competitive sports from a young age, including golf, basketball, baseball, and football. Playing sports has positively impacted my life and provided numerous opportunities and experiences. I have had the opportunities to travel to unbelievable places, make friendships that will last forever, and learn essential life lessons. The game of golf has taught me many life lessons, such as patience, attitude, and determination. Golf has also required me to strive for good physical health and has challenged my emotional health. Like many things, golf can be frustrating. Maintaining emotional health on the golf course has helped me be successful. Life can also be frustrating, and I am learning to expand emotional health management to all aspects of life.
