I am John Dobbe, and I am on the Men’s golf team here at the University of Dubuque. I am from Eldridge, IA, about an hour south of Dubuque. As a sophomore, I have enjoyed my time here so far building new relationships with teammates, friends, and staff here at UD. While on the golf team, I enjoy hanging out with our team every week and sharing quality time putting in the work together both on and off the course. I also put forth a priority for schoolwork. Having a positive attitude and a will to learn in the classroom is one of my greatest attributes when it comes to being a student. I have also worked hard to improve my mental side of the golf game and trying to slow down and not overthink every shot and just go play. That also helped me become a team leader and encourage all my teammates to push each other on and off the course.
