My name is Sheik-Nuur Haji (Noor) I was born in Kakuma, Kenya but currently live in Salt Lake City, Utah. I graduated from West High School in 2020. I am Currently a Senior here at the University of Dubuque with my major being in sociology. I am also the 3rd born out of 11 of the children my parents have! Coming from a big family there are a lot of positives buts also hurdles that come with it. Mental health is something that I see a lot of in different degrees whether it is positive or negative, so I am aware of how important it is in everyday life. I’ve always been told that life is 90% mental and 10% physical and I 100% agree with this. Transfering into Iowa from Utah wasn’t an easy process but I know at the end of it I will be playing the sport I love that provides nothing less than happiness for me. Football has taught me a ton of leadership skills, a family and many more things. It is definitely an easy way for me to enter a positive mind state and I’m grateful for it.
