My name is Joziah Perez, I’m from Austin, Texas. I graduated from Lehman high school in 2023, and I’m in my sophomore year of college majoring in cybersecurity and minoring in computer science at the University of Dubuque. My goal here is to become a well endowered man in all aspects of life through life, religion, and spirituality. I’m on the UD football team playing on the defensive line. Going into my second year it has been different in many ways, that now I feel I belong. I’ve adapted to the changes in my life, where I’m far from home, have to grow up, be more independent, and be able to trust. It’s not easy being a student athlete but being able to trust the people around, let people in your life that want the best for you will allow yourself to flourish to anything you want to be. To be able to control the controllables, not worry what you can’t control but make the best of your own reality in this time. That in life there’s always ups and downs but believing in the people you’re around and always believing in yourself will give you the confidence to be successful, happy, and a better you.
