Hi my name Abraham Galicia, I’m a junior here at the University of Dubuque. Coming to the University of Dubuque, I came with two major goals: earning my degree and becoming a national champion wrestler. I know I cannot accomplish either goal without making my mental and physical health a priority. Taking care of myself is essential to meet the challenges of succeeding as both a student and an athlete, while also keeping me motivated and focused. I am learning that when I take care of my health, I am able to maintain a positive mindset. When I focus on being healthy, I can remind myself and others that we can achieve my goals—and then I will. Taking care of your mental and physical health creates balance in your life and gives you the strength and confidence to keep moving forward.
