My name is Cameron Brown, or others just know me as Cam, I received my diploma from fort Zumwalt south high school in St. Louis Missouri. I will attend my sophomore year at Dubuque where I have an opportunity to positively impact the football team and the community. Therefore, being hours away from home, it was hard to adjust my mental and physical health when times get hard and days get busy. Dubuque staff has opened their arms to everybody in the community and has many resources to also help. First, I want to thank my brothers on the team that have made this place feel like home, and all the friends I’ve made outside of the football team. This school truly makes you feel like a person and not just a number. I feel extremely comfortable and confident now being away from my home because I know here at Dubuque I have a family as well. Your mental and physical health can really take a toll, especially as a college student athlete when things get stressful, but you can always lean your shoulder on the people here at Dubuque, because you’re not alone and have the whole campus and community you can rely on.
