My name is Ethan Harms. I grew up in Poplar, WI, and went to high school at Northwestern High School. I am an incoming freshman, and I am looking to major in Flight Operations and minor in Aviation Management here at UD. Growing up at a small school mental health wasn’t really something that was talked about too much. Students were expected to handle their problems on their own or with family. Luckily for me when my mental space wasn’t in the right place I leaned on my family to get me through those tough times. Becoming a student at Dubuque University, I have seen and experienced the mental support that UD provides. I have experienced a true brotherhood here and I know that I can open up to any one of my teammates, coaches, or support staff about issues that I may be experiencing. Whether it be meetings with the Sports Psychology Coach or simply opening up to one of my coaches or teachers, I know that the University of Dubuque has supplied me with the proper mental health resources to thrive and catch me when I fa
