My name is Zane Pannell, graduating high school in Fulton IL. I started my journey by attending the University of Dubuque hoping to find opportunities in both education and sport. Now a Senior, I have found that my health and wellness is always on the top of my mind. As someone who prioritizes their health and wellbeing, I wish other people to have the same passion. A healthy mind and a healthy body create a long and healthy life. I personally have been affected by mental health issues in my life, at this time neither my mind nor body were in a good place. Thanks to the wonderful people in my life and a goal to accomplish I was propelled out of that depression. Physical health is very important to me as a collegiate level athlete in one of the most physically demanding sports. I hope to inspire people and teach them how to properly care for their health. I am grateful to the people at UD who have stressed the importance of keeping myself healthy throughout my college career. I have made strides in my maturity and health since attending this University.
